For teachers other than those in (1) above, nɔt more

Missionary and Religious teachers as a homogeneous unit

irrespective of nationality or race, in which case the salary

The salaries of non-Buropean teachers who are

graduates in Arte or Science of approved Universities and have

successfully undertaken a course of professional training in

Education shall be according to the scales approved for

University Trained Masters and University Trained mistresses

in Government service.

§ 13. The salaries of Trained Anglo-Chinese Masters and

Trained Vernacular Masters shall be on a scale from $900 to

$3,600 per annum rising by annual increments of $103.

For the purpose of this section and section 14, "trained"

shall mean having successfully completed the teachers' training

the No co course at the Hong Kong Evening Institute, or such other course

^ of professional training in education as in the opinion of the

Director of Education is at least its equivalent.

$ 14.

The salaries of Trained anglo-Chinese Mistresses and

Trained Vernacular istresses shall be on a scule from 720 to

$2,160 per annum rising by annual increments of 50.

$ 15. The employment of uncertified or untrained teachers shall be approved only when suitable trained teachers are not available. The salaries of uncertified or untrained teachers shall be determined by the school managera subject to tue
